Update on Summer 2020 Planning
May 11, 2020
Hello Hillcrest Parents, Campers, and Staff,
We wanted to take a brief moment from our preparations for summer 2020 to check in with everyone and make sure that everyone is healthy and safe. We also wanted to take a moment to fill you in on what we have been doing to prepare for this summer.
As of right now we are preparing to open camp as always. The safety of your children always has been and always will be our number one priority. We are currently monitoring all guidelines that are being put out by the CDC, New York State, New York City, as well as various camping organizations. Be assured that we will follow whatever guidelines are put forth.
We know that all of you are concerned about when decisions will be made about camp. No one wishes we could make the decision right now more than we do, since we cannot wait to see all of our campers during another amazing Hillcrest summer. Unfortunately, until we hear from all the governing organizations, we cannot yet make that decision on what camp will look like this summer.
Please be assured, though, that as soon as we have answers, we will let you know. Any changes that are made to the structure of camp will be communicated as quickly as possible to parents, and if camp cannot open or is shifted to a non-traditional format, you will have, among other options, the ability to receive a full refund of any money that you put towards Hillcrest 2020.
We plan on having yet another safe and FUN summer at Hillcrest Jewish Center Day Camp, and have plans in place to ensure that happens despite any restrictions we might face.
