Counselor-in-Training Program

A C.I.T. is a camper enrolled in a specialized camp leadership program. This program is designed to offer qualified young people an opportunity to prepare for positions as camp counselors, while simultaneously providing them with one final, memorable summer as a camper.  
​Counselors-in-Training will:
  • Learn supervising techniques for both Upper and Lower campers
  • Learn how to interact with peers and adults in a work environment
  • Build leadership skills through leadership roles throughout camp, including during Color War
  • Gain job skills through training, discussion, observation, and hands-on learning experiences
  • Enhance their communication skills through team-building experiences and role-play activities
  • Be closely guided by highly experienced camp professions
  • Participate in fun recreational activites throughout the summer
  • Take part in two special late-night CIT trips
Space in this program is limited and participation is by selection only. 

Candidates must be 14 years old by June 1.
